Ange, happiness is a state of mind. It is a choice made daily both in and out of the family. Happiness is fleeting though, suddenly absent when things don't happen quite the way we wanted (generally speaking). This isn't about happiness, it's about abiding in your calling which renders something much greater than happiness - fulfillment. Fulfillment is living for a purpose which, after years, still sparks the same joy and satisfaction as the first day you chose it, despite the bad that threatened your "happiness".
